Step #1: Sketching the Statement Ring

Step #2: Deciding on the Details
We know how special Heidi Daus jewelry is to you, because it is special to us too. That's why we don't rush the details. Take a look at any of our pieces, but especially something like the "Big Critter" Enamel Crystal Critter Ring.
Don't just glance at it, really look deeply at the details of the item. You can find a statement ring from other designers, but you won't find anything quite like this. It features black an orange color enamel, jet AB, light topaz, emerald, olivine, light smoked topaz, smoked topaz, light amethyst, amethyst, rose, fuchsia, padparadscha, capri blue and blue zircon color crystals. The "Big Critter" Enamel Crystal Critter Ring mentioned above has many, many different colored stones. In Heidi's studio, you will see beads and stones everywhere! These are used to create the original model, the casting. If this isn't perfect, the stones won't fit. In some cases, there could be hundreds of little stones and they all must be absolutely perfect! The casting is then plated in antique gold. After that, we stone set.
Step #4 Naming the Piece
Our jewelry is made to make a statement. We get such a kick naming these pieces; it's so much fun! Something like our "Many Shades of Fabulous" Crystal Statement Ring is the result of a lot of hard work and creativity, plus enjoying the processes of making it.
